I’ve Learned a lot about the legal aspect of the healthcare field
by taking this course. This course opened my eyes to a lot of things that I was
once naïve to. People really try to sue for almost anything. Also by taking
this course I realized that doctors can make mistakes and it’s not always on
purpose. They are human just like us. It was very interesting to learn about
the different doctrines.
My favorite doctrine to learn about had to be the apparent agent. I originally assumed that if they looked like they worked for the hospital that meant they did. Working on cases as a class and with partners helped me understand the material more. Overall I enjoyed my time spent in this class. Though this was one of my most challenging courses I’ve learned a lot and plan on using the knowledge in whatever field I decide to go into.
